MBC’s new mini-series, “My Princess,” has released five official posters on January 4th.
The posters feature the four leading roles of the drama - Song Seung Hun, Kim Tae Hee, Park Ye Jin, and Ryu Soo Young – in a luxurious atmosphere fit for the high class lifestyle of the characters.
Although Kim Tae Hee was actually sick with a cold during the poster’s photoshoot last month, she showed a professional attitude by going through the entire filming with bright smiles.

Donga Media Group released the results of their “2010 Best Drama Actor/Actress” ranking on December 16th.

Rankings were calculated by professional evaluation (50 points), the level of attention they received from society (calculated by the number of articles for a total of 30 points), and online votes (20 points).

10asia Magazine Releases The First idol Encyclopedia, “10+idol”

‘10asia‘ magazine recently published their own idol magazine, “10+idol“, which features the greatest idols that have represented Korean entertainment in 2010.

Naturally, the idols chosen reflect only the opinion of the magazine.

‘Baker King Kim Tak Gu’ Actress Choi Ja Hye Gets Married

Actress Choi Ja Hye (29) might be an unfamilar name to most of you, but avid fans of “Baker King Kim Tak Gu” will recognize her as Kim Tak Gu’s older sister, Ja Kyung.

The prim and proper business lady became a blushing bride on November 6th, and was married in Seoul’s Imperial Palace Hotel.

Choi Ja Hye’s husband was a company employee who worked for her father’s business. The two met through mutual friends near the beginning of this year, and ended up falling deeply in love. Choi Ja Hye expressed her feelings in a public statement, saying, “As the wedding date nears, my feelings become renewed. I want to thank all the people who have helped me in planning for this wedding. I will show myself living happily as both an actress and a wife.”

Star Golden Bell Coming To An End

In a phone call to Newsen, a KBS representative revealed that after six years on the air, Star Golden Bell is ending. When it first aired in 2004, it quickly became a popular Saturday variety program, especially for showcasing new idol singers.

Unfortunately, in its latter years, it received criticism from viewers for changing the focus from a celebrity quiz game to a regular talk show. Last May, Star Golden Bell completely changed the format and name to Star Golden Bell: First Grade Class, but still struggled in ratings.

The last episode will air on the 23rd. Meanwhile, its replacement, Oh My School, will begin airing on the 30th. The people appearing in the first episode will be Simon D, Park Myung Soo, Park Kyung Lim, Tony An and Yoo Sae Yoon.

G.O.D’s Danny Ahn to take the lead role in musical ‘The Great Catsby’

Official photos of G.O.D’s Danny Ahn practicing for a musical called ‘The Great Catsby’, were recently revealed.

Danny Ahn will be playing the main role in ‘The Great Catsby’; a character who is just an average, timid unemployed man, but is self-sacrificing when he falls in love.

In the photos, Danny Ahn is completely absorbed in his acting, showing expressions where he could cry in an instant, and even checking his rehearsal book during his breaks.

The musical ‘The Great Catsby’ is based on the then-explosively popular cartoon series drawn by artist Kang Dong Ha back in 2004, about a middle-class man’s backfired love.

‘The Great Catsby’ will be performed from October 15th till December 31st, of which Danny Ahn will have his first performance on October 17th.

Jung Yonghwa, Daesung, and Kim Jae Dong added to ‘Night After Night’ variety show

CNBlue’s Jung Yonghwa, Big Bang’s Daesung, and popular broadcaster Kim Jae Dong were recently added to the MCs list for the new upcoming SBS variety show, “Night After Night“.
The finalized cast of Park Myung Soo, Tak Jae Hoon, Kim Jae Dong, Daesung, Yonghwa, and After School’s UEE went into their first recording for the talk show on October 13th.
In addition, the creator of the nationwide popular variety show ‘YashimManMan‘, Choi Young In PD, was also appointed the director of ‘Night After Night’, which has been causing increasing hype around the much anticipated new show, especially with this set of cast members.
Meanwhile, it has been one year since Kim Jae Dong was controversially dropped as the main MC of KBS’s ‘Star Golden Bell’, and this will mark his return into the variety world after three months away, as his appearances were on MBC’s ‘Fantasy Partner’ back in July.

Menjelang  G20 Seoul KTT 2010 bergengsi November ini, terungkap bahwa 20 penyanyi idola dari kelompok KPOP populer telah direkrut untuk menyanyikan lagu tema untuk acara ini.

Lagu tema, berjudul, 'Let's Go', telah dibuat khusus untuk acara yang akan berlangsung dari November 11 - 12 di Samsung-dong's Coex, untuk diskusi tentang ekonomi dunia.

“Idol Star Track & Field Championships” Berhasil Meraih Rating Tinggi

 

Pada 25 September, part 1 dari MBC’s Chuseok special “Idol Star Track & Field Championships” telah disiarkan, dan berhasil mendapatkan 15.3% rating penonton.

Meskipun rating masih lebih rendah dari drama akhir pekan SBS, “Life Is Beautiful” yang mendapat rating  21.3%, “Idol Star Track & Field Championships” berhasil mencapai rating tinggi dibanding dengan MBC "Kim Suro".

Today, on September 25th, another brand new weekly broadcast of MBC’s ‘Music Core’ aired to showcase K-pop’s great artists.

Unlike the usual young idol group members that fill in to host the show, today’s special MCs were quite different. The special MCs for today’s episode were none other than actors Shin Hyun Joon and Jung Jun Ho, who are also both MCs for MBC’s variety show, ‘Enjoy Today‘.
